The 2026 Mascarade Opera Showcase Villa Belcanto is now streaming on OperaVision!
Set in a luxury clinic inspired by the 1920s–1940s, Villa Belcanto brings together scenes, arias and duets from the music of Donizetti, Handel and Tchaikovsky.
The production explores the clinic as a place of memory, where different generations live side by side. Beneath its elegant surface, the clinic also becomes a space of hierarchy, organisation and control.
Recorded at Teatro Regio di Parma, the production is directed by Federico Grazzini, with the Filarmonica del Teatro Comunale di Bologna conducted by Wyn Davies.
