Lied the Way Comes to Florence with "Donne & Canzone", Celebrating an International Network of Women in Classical Music
Florence, 16 July 2026 – The New Generation Foundation will host a concert by Lied the Way at the historic Palazzo Corsini al Prato. Lied the Way is an international organisation dedicated to supporting and connecting women working in the field of classical art song.
The concert, taking place on Sunday, 19 July at 5:00 pm, will feature sixteen voice and piano duos, each presenting their own interpretation of works by great composers including Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms and Claude Debussy, taking audiences on a journey through some of the most celebrated masterpieces of the Lied and classical art song repertoire.
Through this concert, Lied the Way reaffirms its commitment to the next generation of performers, championing female talent and strengthening an international network of artists who are shaping the future of classical music with creativity, excellence and a shared vision.
